Comming back from a rowing crossing of south Atlantic (2009) followed by an adventure among the icebergs in the Northwest Passaget in 2010 (still rowing solo), I was looking for a new rowing boat.
I wanted it to be easy, very stable and light :
- be able to row safely in Corsica or in Britain, but with the speed feelings that a skiff can provide,
- be able to handle alone my boat,
- be able to put her on the roof of my car,
I looked in vain for this boat : she did not exist !
One could find fast competition boats but they where far to unstable and fragile, on the other hand yoles far to heavy for my purpose.
Liteboat was born.

The architect-sailor Sam Manuard (Sam Manuard Yacht Design) was in charge of the studies and the plans. Sam practices open sea racing (he won the last Transat Jacques Vabre in Multi50) and designs fast and beautiful boats.
By picturing a modern hull with chine in an "open" manner, Sam realized a very stable boat which can glide very fast over the water. The shell's shape creates few waves and improves the glide.
The Liteboats are dedicated to everyone : rowers or beginners, sportsmen or not, young or older. On a Liteboat, everyone can row at his own pace.
Our boats are unsinkable and auto-draining.
No more restraint due to instability, all the power of the rower is converted into speed and pleasure.
Your Liteboat will allow you to go out while practicing sport, on your Liteboat, you can row relax.
In order to reduce weight, the Liteboat are build with resin sandwich infusion with carbon supports. This is a robustness and quality guaranty. This technical method guaranties an homogeneous structure and prevents the operator from being in contact with toxic emanations. This also guaranties a better lifetime than standard designs.
It was important that our boats be beautiful. Olivier Dupont Delestaint, a great boats ans sea lover, was in charge of the graphical design of the Liteboats.
After several months testing, the target has been reached and it is now possible to row on stable, easy, funny, robust and beautiful boats:
